Did you know....Black Sect Feng Shui is the most HOLISTIC and common sense schools and approach used to enhance one's home or one's business space in North America. Let's begin! The Bagua (pronounced Bah-gwah) is essentially the Feng Shui map that is superimposed over the plan of your property, home, individual rooms, each floor of your home, desk or office. Correct placement of the Bagua is determined by the location of the front door or the entrance way into your home, business or room. This means the actual front door that the builder intended you to enter your home through, not the door from the garage. Everything that happens in life can be placed into nine life situations. These life situations are represented by specific areas in your home. The Ba of the word Bagua means eight and the Bagua has eight sides as shown in this post. Each area of the Bagua is called a Gua (Gwa). The eight sides plus the middle make up the nine areas that relate to the different life situations. Listed below and in order, the nine areas/gua's of the Bagua. Prosperity/Wealth/Abundance, Fame & Reputation, Relationships & Love, Family, Health, Creativity & Children, Skills and Knowledge, Career & Life Path and Travel and Helpful people. Do you have your supplies ready? Now for the fun part...you get to draw and colour! Yeah! :) *You may want to make an extra copy of your floor plan because you will use one of them to draw and color on. To draw your own Bagua: Draw a Tic Tac Toe grid on another piece of paper (see an example of a basic Bagua on this post) it should have 9 equal sized boxes. Now label the far back left WEALTH/PROSPERITY, the far back center is FAME, and the far back right is RELATIONSHIPS. The middle back left is FAMILY, the center is HEALTH, the middle back right is CHILDREN/Creativity. The front left is SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE, the front center is CAREER/LIFE PATH and the front right is HELPFUL PEOPLE/TRAVEL. Once you have done this, color each square the following colors. In picture #1 you will see an example of a basic Bagua. WEALTH – Purple FAME – Red RELATIONSHIPS – Pink FAMILY - Green HEALTH – Yellow CHILDREN & CREATIVITY – White SKILLS - Blue CAREER – Black HELPFUL PEOPLE – Gray Ok now that you have your Bagua done you can lay it over your floor plan by aligning the front door in one of the 3 areas (skills/knowledge, career/life path or helpful people/travel). See pictures two and three for examples. Do you now know where your WEALTH gua is in your home? If you are having any issues with your floor plan or placing your Bagua over your floor plan please feel free to post your questions here.
